The Beginning: Training and a Bold Start

In 2017, before GDrive Auto Salon opened its doors, we immersed ourselves in a full car detailing training seminar—those weeks of learning equipped us with foundational knowledge and the confidence to embark on our business journey. With our skills sharpened, we proudly opened our shop and began offering exterior detailing services to our clients in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The Turning Point: Discovering Paint Protection

Just a month into operations, we stumbled upon the revolutionary technology of ceramic coating, a leading solution in car paint protection. Intrigued, we sought a new mentor—a seasoned expert and supplier in paint protection technology. This mentor’s teachings would become pivotal in reshaping our approach to detailing.
 

During our visit to his shop, he asked a simple but impactful question: “Do you know how to detail a car?” Confidently, we said yes. His response? “You’re not yet capable. Bring me a car you’ve detailed, and I’ll show you why.”

The next day, we returned with a Toyota Altis that we had recently detailed. Under his inspection light, he revealed holograms, swirl marks, and scratches—flaws we had inadvertently introduced to the car paint due to gaps in our knowledge. It was a humbling but transformative moment.
